Southern Iraq’s Basra Governor off to Egypt to invite investment

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: An official delegation, led by southern Iraq’s Basra Governor, Shiltagh Abboud, left for Cairo on Monday, to invite Egyptian companies to invest in his city, a Basra media official reported. “Basra Governor Shiltagh Abboud and his accompanying delegation have left for Cairo, in an invitation by the Egyptian side to invite Egyptian companies to invest in Basra,” he said. The 4-day visit shall also witness the discussion of means for developing bilateral relations between the two sides. He said the delegation, also comprising a number of officials and businessmen from Basra Province, would hold meetings with leading government officials in Egypt during the visit.
