West Iraq Hit city police impose curfew after its director’s assassination

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: The police in west Iraq Hit city’s police have imposed a general curfew on the city on Monday, after the assassination of its Police Director, Lt. Brigadier Mohammed Faisal early in the day, a police source said. “Hit city’s police have imposed a general curfew on all vehicles and persons, with fortifying security measures, following the assassination of its Police Director, Lt. Brig. Mohammed Faisal, in an explosive device blast at the center of the city early on Monday,” he said. He added that Hit Hospital, where the guards, who accompanied the assassinated police director, were kept for treatment, had witnessed severe inspection measures, to avoid any attempt to attack the wounded policemen. Hit city’s Police Director, Mohammed Faisal, had been assassinated in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast against his motorcade in Hit city center, along with wounding of four of his guards, according to an Anbar police source early in the day. Hit city is 63 kms to the west of Ramadi, the center of Anbar Province, 110 kms to the west of Baghdad. AD (A) / SKH 72
