Police detain 12 wanted men in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested on Tuesday 12 wanted men and seized weapons and ammunition in Basra, according to an official statement. “Policemen waged 13 crackdown operations in separate areas in Basra, where they arrested 12 wanted men and seized amounts of weapons and ammunitions,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The forces seized two containers carrying unlicensed vehicles,” it added. “A roadside bomb went off on the Basra international airport road, targeting a U.S. convoy, without causing damage,” the statement said.
