Former Republican Guard officer killed by gunmen in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A former officer of the Republican Guard was killed on Wednesday by gunmen in eastern Mosul, according to a police source. “The gunmen opened fire on the officer in a house in eastern Mosul, killing him instantly,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The man is an employee but he was an officer of the Republican Guard,” he added, without giving more details.
