Deputy PM, American consul mull agricultural development

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq on Thursday received American consul in Baghdad and discussed with him ways to develop the agriculture sector. “The meeting dwelt with ways to solve farmers’ problems and the activation of the agriculture agreement between Iraqi U.S. governments within the strategic framework agreement,” said an official statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “They also discussed the possibility to expand cooperation between Baghdad and Washington in the sector and using modern equipments in the irrigation, in addition to developing technical and engineering experiences in the agriculture sector,” the statement added.  SH (TP)/SR 520
