22 handballers to represent Iraq in Arab tournament in Doha

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Twenty-two players will enter a training camp in Karbala as Monday within preparations for the Arab tournament to be hosted in the Qatari capital Doha on November 11-25, according to the Iraqi Handball Federation on Saturday. “The camp, to run until February 13, involves 12 practical training units and four lecturing units under the supervision of coach Dhafir Sahib,” the federation’s secretary general, Mohammed al-Aaraji, told IraqiNews.com news agency. Sahib plans to pick 16 players to attend another training camp in the Syrian capital Damascus on February 14-21. Karbala lies 108 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (TP)/SR 719
