Islamic Daawa party supports Egyptian people

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Islamic Daawa party showed solidarity on Saturday with the Egyptian people in their protests against the regime, calling for peaceful transition to the authority there. The party praised in a statement, received by IraqiNews.com news agency, Egyptians’ courage, urging them to unify ranks against attempts to spread chaos in the country. Egyptians are calling for President Hosni Mubarak to stand down immediately, not later in September as he has promised. The protests coincide with week-long anti-government rallies in Egypt where demonstrators clashed with riot police and pro government demonstrators following similar rallies in neighboring Tunisia that toppled that country’s government.
