$16 million cancer treatment center in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: The Missan Council on Tuesday allocated $16 million to establish a cancer treatment center in Missan, according to chairman of the council’s health committee. “The amount was allocated as part of the money for reviving marshes of 2011,” Maytham Lafta al-Fartousi told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that this is the third project of its kind in Iraq after the two centers in Baghdad and Mosul. “The center will make a qualitative leap in providing health services, mainly for cancer patients,” he added. Amara, the capital of Missan, is 390 km south of Baghdad. SH (TP) 267
