BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq‘s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has ordered the following up of the health condition of the Iraqi World Bodybuilding Champion, Ali al-Gayar, the Minister of Youth & Sports, Jassim Mohammed Jaafar, said on Wednesday. Jaafar’s statement said that Prime Minister Maliki had responded to his request and instructed one of his representatives to follow the health condition of the “great Iraqi sportsman and the World Bodybuilding Champion Ali Al-Gayar, conveying the Prime Minister‘s greatings for Gayar.” The Minister said that the absence of a law for Youth & Sports in Iraq made his Ministry unable to present assistance for the leading sportsmen, who suffer from serious health conditions. Noteworthy is that Ali Al-Gayar is one of the leading bodybuilding champions in Iraq, who scored world bodybuilding championships in 1970, 1971 in Yoguslavia and France, followed by other champions in 1972 in Baghdad, as well as having scored the Arab and Middle East championships in 1970, 1971 and 1972.  PT / SKH 928
