UAE to open consulate in Arbil, Iraqi Kurdistan

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Council of Ministers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ratified a decision to open a consulate in Arbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan Region, the UAE’s English Gulf News newspaper reported on Monday. The newspaper said that UAE’s Deputy President, Prime Minister and Dubai’s Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed Bin-Rashid Al-Maktoum, had presided a meeting of the Council of Ministers, that had discussed several issues, including the establishment of a UAE consulate in Arbil, being part of joint efforts by Iraq and the UAE to boost their bilateral relations.
