Iraqi Parliament’s session convenes with 255 MPs present

BAGHDAD  / IraqiNews.com – The Iraqi Parliament has convened its session on Tuesday, under chairmanship of its Speaker Usama al-Nujeify and the presence of 255 out of its total 325 members, the Parliament’s media office source said.   “The Parliament’s 43 rd  session has convened today (Tuesday), under chairmanship of its Speaker Usama al-Nujeify and the presence of 255 MPs, to discuss its schedule, including the draft-laws on the Supreme Judicial Council and the inspector-generals,” he told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said the session’s schedule also includes the second reading of the draft-law on adjusting the agreement for oil pipelines, signed between Iraq and Turkey, on Aug. 27, 1973, along with the draft-law to ratify the abolishment of the contract for the development and production of Iraq’s al-Ahdab Oil Field.   SKH (TS)/SR 779
