Two Civilians killed, 9 others injured in 2 Baghdad blasts.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com – Two civilians have been killed and nine others injured, including 3 policemen, in two improvised explosive device (IED) blasts in two different Baghdad areas on Sunday, a security source said.   “An IED blew up in central Baghdad’s al-Tahrir (Liberation) Square early in the day, killing a civilian and wounding 4 others,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   In another incident, “an IED blew up against a Federal Police patrol in central Baghdad’s Karrada-Dakhil district, wounding 3 policemen and 2 civilians, along with causing damage to a number of vehicles,” he said.   Meanwhile, the security source said that a “number of mortar shells fell on the building of the General Security Department in eastern Baghdad’s Baladiyat district, where the “office of the Iraqi Police and the Joint Forces headquarters,” exist, giving no further details whether human and material losses have occurred due to the attack.   SKH (TI)/SR
