First investment plant to generate power in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Chairman of the Basra council signed on Tuesday an agreement to set up the first plant to generate electricity in west of Basra, media director of the Basra council said. “Jabbar Amin signed the deal with the UAE al-Jameeh Company to establish a 150 Megawatt plant in al-Shuaieba region, western Basra,” Hisham al-Luaibi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The plant will be established at a cost of $153 million on seven donums in six months,” he added.
