Three ammunition dumps discovered in Kut, South Iraq
WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The police force of southern Iraq’s Kut city had discovered three ammunition dumps, comprising 47 hand-grenades, anti-tank launchers, rockets and different weapons, the Director of Wassit Police’s Media office reported on Thursday. “The three ammunition dumps were found in an area, north of Kut, the center of Wassit Province, by a police force, led by Director-General of Wassit Police, Maj-General, Hussein Mahbouba, Colonel Dhargham Mohammed Hassan told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that ammunition dumps comprised hundreds of other weapons and ammunition, six Strella rockets, a Garrad rocket and an anti-aircraft rocket, all remnants from Iraq’s former Baath regime.
