Three gunmen killed, 3 cops injured in attack on gang in Anbar Province.

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Three gunmen have been killed and three policemen injured in an operation against an abduction gang by a joint Army and police force east of Ramadi, the center of Anbar Province , a police source said on Saturday   “A Joint Army and police force had implemented an operation against an abduction gang in Haditha township, 280 km to the west of Ramadi, killing three armed men, whilst three policemen were injured in the attack,” the police source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   The police source said that the attack took place to liberate a man, believed to be a relative of Salahaddin’s Governor, abducted by the gang, but the fate of the abducted man was not known,” the source said.   Ramadi, the center of Anbar Province , is 160 km to the west of Baghdad .   SKH (ST)
