Police wound civilian, body found in Mosul
NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A civilian was wounded on Tuesday by policemen, while a security guard’s body was found in the city of Mosul, a security source said. “A civilian was wounded on Tuesday afternoon when police opened fire on him accidently near a checkpoint on the fifth bridge tunnel, western Mosul. They carried him to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Police forces found the body of a Badoush jail’s guard, west of Mosul,” the source added, noting that the body bore signs of gunshot wounds to the head and chest near Mosul–Baghdad road, south of Mosul. The man had been kidnapped five days ago near the prison. Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SH (TP) 587
