Iraqi Kurdistan’s opposition MP charges Kurdish Security with attempt to assassinate him.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Legislature of northern Iraq’s Kurdish opposition “Goran (Change)” Movement, Sardar Abdullah, has charged a group of 20 persons, belonging to the Kurdish Security (Asayesh) Forces, with having carried out an attempt to assassinate him on Tuesday.   “A group of 20 members of the Asayesh (Kurdish Security) has carried out an attempt to assassinate me,” Abdullah told a news conference he held in the Iraqi Parliament in Baghdad , charging that he had “delicate information about the said group.”   Abdullah said he would raise a legal case against “all those, who tried to assassinate him,” but gave no further details.   Noteworthy is that a group of Kurdistan Parliament Members, representing the Garmian district, in Kurdistan ’s Kalar area, had demonstrated on March 31 st and were exposed to an attack, that caused no casualties.   Abdullah, meanwhile, said that the Chairman of the Kurdistan Coalition, Fuad Maasoum, had charged him with having fabricated “the assassination attempt against him, despite fact that the Parliament had condemned the attempt.”   SKH (IT)   408
