Zebari arrives in Cairo for talks on Baghdad summit

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari arrived in Cairo on Thursday for talks on positions by Arab countries regarding participation in an Arab summit scheduled to be held in Baghdad on May 11, according to a foreign ministry statement. “Zebari arrived in the Egyptian capital for talks with Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa on preparations for the forthcoming Arab summit in Baghdad,” read the statement as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The Iraqi top diplomat was received by Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf on Thursday (April 14). “Minister Zebari will also have talks with Egyptian government officials on means to cement Iraqi-Egyptian relations,” the statement added.
