2 women commit suicide in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Two women committed a suicide separately in Kirkuk on Sunday, raising to three suicides in the northern Iraq city within 72 hours, said a source form the Joint Coordination Center (JCC). “A 16-year-old female student hanged herself inside her house in al-Wassiti area, southwestern Kirkuk, while another housewife aged 36 ended her life inside her house in Rahimawa, northeastern Kirkuk,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. On Thursday, April 14, the police was tipped off on a self-hanging suicide in central Kirkuk. The case was of an 18-year-old casual worker. The oil-rich Kirkuk, a city of mixed Arab, Kurdish and Turkmen population, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (TP) 548
