Iraqi contractor killed in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi contractor has been killed and an employee of Kirkuk’s Health department  was injured in two explosive charge attacks in central and southern Kirkuk on Sunday, security sources said.   “A sticky bomb, planted on a civilian car, blew up in southern Kirkuk’s Domez district early on Sunday, seriously wounding a civilian and causing damage to his car,” Kirkuk’s Police Director, Ahmed Shmirany said.   “The injured man, who was driven to hospital, died en-route to the hospital,” the Police Director said.  The man was a “citizen of Ramadi, who worked in Kirkuk,” he added.   Meanwhile, a source in Kirkuk’s Joint Coordination Center, stressed that an explosive charge blew up on the main road, leading to Baghdad, in central Kirkuk, wounding an employee in the city’s medical department.   Kirkuk is 250 km to the northeast of Baghdad.   SKH (TS)/SR 835
