Ninewa Governor charges its security forces for bloodshed

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Ninewa Province’s Governor, Athil al-Nujeify, has charged the Province’s Ninewa Security Operations command with responsibility for recent “bloodshed” in Mosul, the center of the province.   “I burden the Ninewa Operations Command with responsibility for bloodsheds among demonstrators, who had organized sit-in demonstrations in central Mosul’s al-Ahrar (Liberation) Square,” Nunjeiy told IraqiNews.com news agency on Monday.   Nujeify demanded the security bodies to “stop banning demonstrators to enter al-Ahrar Square, in order to continue their sit-demonstrations, in a peaceful manner that harms no body.”   The Ninewa security forces had banned demonstrators to enter Mosul’s al-Ahrar Square to share in the sit-demonstration, that entered its 17 th day on Monday, where five demonstrators were injured.   Mosul , the center of Ninewa Province, is 405 km to the north of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.   SKH (IT)/SR   480
