Iraqi Army Force detains Member of Anbar Council

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi Army force has detained the Member of Anbar Council, Faisal Al-Issawi, after breaking through his home in Falluja city, in west Iraq’s Anbar Province on Sunday, without giving a reason for his detention, the Council’s Media Advisor said.   “An Army force has carried out a security campaign in several areas of Amiriya village, 12 kms to the south of Falluja city, including the house of Sheikh Faisal al-Issawi, Member of Anbar Council, who was detained by the force, for unknown reasons,” Mohammed Hantoush told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Hantoush said that “Anbar Council would hold an emergency meeting to know the reason for the detention of Sheikh Issawi, known with for his good personality and reputation, who occupies the post of the Chairman of Human Rights Committee in Anbar Council.”   Ramadi, the center of Anbar Province, is 160 km to the west of Baghdad.   SKH (ST)/SR 706
