Iranian infiltrator arrested in Wassit, south Iraq

  WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: An Iranian infiltrator has been detained while illegally entering into Iraqi territory east of southern Iraq ’s Wassit Province on Wednesday, a Border Guards source said.   “A cache, planted by Wassit’s Border Guards, has arrested a man, carrying an Iranian identity, while   illegally entering Iraqi territories, close to Zurbatiya Border post, 90 km to the east of Kut, the center of Wassit Province, on Wednesday” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that the “infiltrator did not carry any documents proving his identity, but preliminary investigations had uncovered his Iranian nationality,” adding that “he was handed over to a detention center in Kut, to complete investigation with him.”   Kut, the center of Wassit Province , is 180 km to the southeast of Baghdad .   SKH (ST)   482
