2nd Iraqi-French Forum Convened in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The second Iraqi-French Forum convened today with the attendance of a number of French companies and Ministry of Industry officials.   A statement issued by the Ministry, as received by IraqiNews.com, said that discussions between the two sides were held.   The forum was attended by some specialized French electrical companies which have previous dealings with the ministry’s companies.   The statement added that the presence of such companies means the return of Iraq to its natural international position.   It expected that more European, American and South-East Asian companies will come to work in Iraq.   The statement pointed out that work will be done to conduct agreements with specialized French companies with their Iraqi counterparts to exchange expertise and transfer of technology that will help develop Iraqi industry.
