US Military Convoy Hit By Rocket in Wasit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: An American military convoy was hit today by a Katyusha rocket in Wassit province, police sources said.  The source added to IraqiNews.com that an unknown armed groupt shot the convoy with the rocket  40 km north west Kut.  The rocket damaged one of the vehicles. There have been no reports on human casualties.  On 15 May, another U.S. convoy was hit by a bomb near the main garage of the city which led to several casualties and damages.  On 17 May, another convoy was hit in center of Kut city, which resulted in the wounding of a woman and her daughter.  Kut, the center of Wassit province, lies 180 km south of the capital, Baghdad.
