Iraq moving step forward in status indicator of Global Peace Index

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A Global Peace Index (GPI), Wednesday has registered a retreat in the state of peace in the world in 2011, while Iraq had stepped one step forward to occupy the center (152), leaving the last place for Somalia, as the largest country in the world that lacks peace, noting that the threat of attacks and the possibility of terrorist acts of violence were the most prominent factors that led to the decline of world peace.   The report, prepared by the Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP) and received   by IraqiNews.com news agency has noted that that ” Iceland is one of the main countries that went without progress in achieving the levels of peace science, to excel over New Zealand , Japan , Denmark , the Czech Republic .” As for Iraq, which has occupied the (152) center, has made progress for the first time this year after it occupied the lowest rank of the cursor, leaving the last place for Somalia, as the largest country in the world that lacks the peace. ”   The report continued that “the index in 2011 highlights the particular categories of Arab States in the spring of this year,” showing Libya to hold the 143 rd center, being the the largest drop, as it was ranked 83 in the classification; while Bahrain occupied the 123 rd centre, which is the second largest margin in the lower levels of world peace; while Egypt occupied the 73 rd , ranked 24.
