Two persons injured in 2 blasts against the Supreme Islamic Council’s HQ in Hilla, west Iraq

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Two persons have been injured in two  successive explosions on Sunday, targeted against the headquarters of the (Shiite) Supreme Islamic Council northeast of Hilla city, the center of west Iraq ’s Babel Province , a security source said.   “Two explosive charges went off successively against the headquarters of the Supreme Islamic Council in al-Nil township, 10 km to the northeast of Hilla, wounding two of its guards, and causing severe damage to its building,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that the wounded persons were driven to a nearby hospital for treatment.   Hilla, the center of Babel Province , is 100 km to the south of Baghdad .
