Two soldiers killed, 8 others injured in Baghdad blasts

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two Iraqi soldiers have been killed and 8 others, including a civilian, were injured in three explosive charges blasts in different parts of Baghdad on Monday, according to a Baghdad security source.   “An explosive charge, planted on the roadside in northern Baghdad ’s Abu-Ghuraib township, blew off against an Army patrol early on Monday, killing 2 soldiers and wounding 6 others,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He added that a police officer, with a lieutenant rank, was injured in an explosive charge blast agaisnthis car on Sunday night in southeast Baghdad ’s “New Baghdad” district.   “A Professor in the Islamic Sciences Collage of Baghdad University was injured in an explosive charge blast under his car, while passing through western Baghdad ’s al-Khadhraa district, on Monday night,” the security source added.   The Iraqi capital of Baghdad is witnessing a security deterioration in attacks against Iraqi Army and police officers, state employees and university professors, by unknown armed men, using explosives and silencer-guns, amid doubts about the attackers links with security bodies, whilst other assassination attempts are taking place, being part of political motives, at a time when the naming of security cabinet ministers have been delayed.   SKH (RT)       899
