Al-Daawa commander arrested in Babel

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: A commander in al-Daawa organization, charged with attacks against police forces and explosions in Babel Province , has been detained by a joint police and Army force in the Province, according to its Police Director General on Saturday.   “A joint Army and police force has managed on Friday to detain Rasoul Shinyar in Latifiya township, 60 km to the north of Hilla, according to intelligence information about his presence in the area,” Maj-General Fadhil Raddad told IraqiNews.com news agency.   “Shinyar was the Emir (Prince) of al-Qaeda Organization, north of Babel , who had been behind a series of explosions, including one against the Police Vehicles office last April and the Hilla Weaving Factory in 2010,” Raddad said.   Hilla, the center of Babel Province , is 100 km to the south of Baghdad .   SKH (ST) 433
