Exchange of attacks political parties undermine political process – Kurdish MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Legislature of the Kurdistan Alliance, Mahmoud Othman, considers the exchange of attacks by al-Iraqiya and National Alliance Legislatures as serious, and undermining the political process. “The Kurdistan Alliance does not support the escalation of attacks between al-Iraqiya and the National Alliances. These represent a serious danger to the political process and harm it,” Othman told IraqiNews.com news agency on Wednesday. Othman called on the conflicting parties for “dialogue, through sitting on a round table to settle their suspended problems and the unification of their efforts to improve the security in the hot provinces, such as Diala and Salah al-Din.” The Legislature for the State of Law, Haitham al-Jiboury, stated to IraqiNews.com earlier this week that there was an attempt by his Coalition to withdraw the trust from the Chairman of al-Iraqiya Coalition, Iyad Allawi, due to his non-attendance of the Parliament’s session. The Official Spokesman of al-Iraqiya bloc, Maysoun al-Damaloujy, told IraqiNews.com that her Coalition intended to collect 25 legislatures signatures to question Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, by the Parliament. Al-Iraqiya Leader, Iyad Allawi, had launched a strong attack against the Leader of al-Daawa Party and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, charging him with “lying, hypocrisy and deception,” and pointing out that Maliki had depended on foreigners and Iran to become prime minister.
