Iraq’s keen to develop relations with Germany – Maliki

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Premier Nouri al-Maliki stressed during his meeting with the German vice-minister for transport, construction and town planning, Jan Moga, the keenness of Iraq to develop its relations with Germany.   Maliki stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral relations in economic spheres and to benefit from the German expertise in building factories and training Iraqi cadres.   In a statement issued by his office, he said that the German companies working on the supporting wall for Mosul dam will be a working model for the world in this field.   On the other side, the German vice-minister stressed that his country “is attempting to enhance bilateral relations through German companies’ participation in the construction process and bids taking place in the country.”   “Several meetings were held with Iraqi officials to discuss bilateral relations, during which it was agreed to organize  bilateral workshops in all fields,” he added.   RM (TS)/SR 474
