Terrorist prisoner escapes in Mosul, north Iraq

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A prisoner, sentenced to 10 years under charges of “financing terrorism,” has escaped from his prison policemen in a Mosul hospital on Friday, a Ninewa security source said.   “A prisoner has escaped from his prison’s policemen, during his transfer from Badush Prison, 25 km to the west of Mosul , to a city hospital for treatment,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that the commander of the police force, who took the prisoner to the hospital, had been detained under investigation,” adding that the escaped prisoner had been sentenced for 10 years under charges of “financing terrorism.”   Mosul , the center of Ninewa Province , is 405 km to the north of Baghdad .   SKH (PT)
