Kurdistan’s Parliament discusses rights of former political detainees in region

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Northern Iraq’s Kurdistan Region’s Parliament began its normal session on Monday, with the discussion of the “rights of the political detainees,” who were imprisoned during the former Baath regime, the Parliament’s media adviser said on Monday. “The Parliament’s Session opened today (Monday) to listen to the first reading of the “rights of the political prisoners in the (Kurdistan) Region,” who were detained during the former regime, Tareq Jawhar told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The session also listened to the second reading of the draft-law for the prevention of the family violence,” he added.   SKH (TS)/SR 401
