Iraq’s PM accuses partners in political process with attacking government

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq ’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has charged partners in the political process with having been behind an anti-government campaign, during the 100-day period he assigned to follow up the activity of his cabinet, he had launched on 28/2/2011.   “We have faced during the 100-day period a political campaign by opponents of the political process, who unfortunately have been partners in the process, who shared in the campaign,” Maliki said in a speech on his evaluation of his government’s activity after the end of the 100-day period.   Prime Minister Maliki stressed that the “said activity stood counter to the principle of national-partnership, as the government had been expecting support by the political blocs for the government, in order to satisfy the prerequisites of the citizens, stemming from their partnership in the political process.”   SKH (ST)
