2 soldiers assassinated in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two soldiers were killed by gunfire while on their checkpoint to the north of Mosul, security sources said today.  The source told IraqiNews.com that the two soldiers were killed when an unknown gunman shot them while on duty at an Iraqi checkpoint.  “The rifle that was used in the attack was found, while the culprit fled,” the source added.  Mosul, the center of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
