Film on Iraqi Man throughout past 100 years

THI QAR / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi technical cadre began shooting a film depicting the life of Iraqi Man during the past 100 years, pin-pointing the negligence suffered by the ordinary citizen under previous governments.  “We began shooting a short film tackling different eras from the past one hundred years,” Mr. Ali Abdul Nabi al-Zaidi told IraqiNews.com.  The film shall be produced by Al-Faiha’ TV Channel.  The site of the film shall be in the main park in Nassiriya city. Its shooting will last for five days, with 8 actors.  The name of the film has not yet been chosen.  The head of Artists Union in the province regarded the production of the film as “jumping over the chains imposed by current situations.”  During this year, 8 short films were produced through personal unilateral efforts depending on some artists and intellectuals who have personal relations in order to minimize the heavy production costs.  Nassiriya, the center of Thi Qar province, lies 380 south of Baghdad.
