Basra police arrest 2312 wanted over 6 months

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: A security source from Basra‘s Operations Room stated today that police forces have arrested about 2312 wanted persons since the beginning of this year until 25 June.   The source told IraqiNews.com that most of the arrested were detained on criminal charges, as well as terrorist activities.   He added that the arrest operations were made through security raids in different parts of the province.   The source referred that the forces used to spot Katyusha rocket launchers that were directed against Basra airport.
