Jaffari – Nujaifi stress Iraqi unity – sovereignty

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The head of the National Alliance Ibraheem Al-Jaffari and Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi stressed today the necessity to preserve the unity and sovereignty of Iraq.   In a joint meeting, both sides discussed the results of Nujaifi’s visit to the United States and the activation of the parliamentary role in the legislative and supervision sectors.   In a statement issued by Jaffar’s office, copy received by IraqiNews.com, both sides discussed the general situation prevailing in the country and the necessity to enhance the complementary role between the legislative and executive powers.   Earlier, Nujaifi stated to Al-Hurra TV Channel, during his US visit, that the Sunnis segment feel “frustrated”, otherwise it is not redeemed , they will think of separation and have a region of their own, which led to great criticism in the country, where many political blocs announced their rejection to such statement, and demanded detailed clarification.
