Internews signs MoU with Media College

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi College of Media signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today with Internews Agency, stipulating cooperation in organizing courses in economic media and finding specialized courses in this field.  Ben Lando, the head of Internews office in Baghdad, in a special statement to IraqiNews.com, during a seminar organized by the agency in cooperation with the Media College on the importance of economic media in energy fields, said that the memorandum has two stages, the first contains specialized courses in economic media and the second including special curricula in the college materials in order to create specialized economic media.  “This memorandum is a preliminary one which has no details or road map, but the general outlines for the bases to such cooperation,” he added.  Dean of the College Dr. Hashim Hassan stressed the importance of economic media to counter the present challenges.  Many discussions took place on the regression of economic media in Iraq and the means of developing economic journalism.
