Military airport to be invested in civilian projects in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Wassit‘s local authorities announced today that the Numaniya military airport shall be opened to civil investments.  Numaniya authorities, 40 km north of Kut, reported it shall be made a civilian airport for commodities transportation.  The land was used as ammunition stores, as well as a military airport.  The local authorities in Numaniya presented a road map for the projects to be granted for investment.  Kut, the center of Wassit province, lies 180 km south east of the capital, Baghdad.  RM (TP)/SR 558
