Investment Conference in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: An investment conference was held with the participation of the Investment Commissions from multiple provinces, except for the Kurdistan region, according to Karbala‘s Investment Commission Media Director.  The conference discussed possibilities of supporting the private sector to take part with foreign companies in the implementation of the projects.  Ra’ed al-Asali told IraqiNews.com that the conference tackled minimizing the routine in registration process and the support of the private sector as a means to develop investment work.  The conference discussed the procedures for companies to register in Karbala representing the Middle Euphrates Region, which shall be submitted to the central investment commission, the Iraqi government and the parliament.  Karbala city, the center of the province, lies 108 km south of the capital, Baghdad.  RM (TS)/SR 643
