Iraqi patience has limits – Mutlaq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: In a conference held today on the effects of Kuwaiti Mobarak port on Iraq, Vice Premier Saleh al-Mutlaq stated that “the neighboring countries should not gamble on Iraqi patience, taking into consideration there are limits for tolerance.”  In a statement issued by his office, he elaborated that “we will not accept for Basra being besieged, or Iraq to be strangled by any form.”  He confirmed that Iraq is “keen to continue good relations with brotherly Kuwait and other neighborly countries, but we do not accept damaging national interests for any party.”  Mutlaq pointed out that “international resolutions issued against Iraq during the previous regime were unjust, and there is no necessity to exploit them by neighboring countries to harm the Iraqi people.”    The conference was under the auspices of Transport Minister Hadi al-Ameri, which was attended by a number of parliamentarians, ministers, and maritime experts.
