Britain condemned for 6 Iraqi killings in 2003 – European Court

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The European Court for Human Rights issued its verdict against Britain for killing six Iraqi civilians in Basra during its responsibility to provide security in south east Iraq.   The court, headquarters in Strasbourg, France, said that Britain violated the European agreement for human rights when abstained to make full investigation in the killing incident, according to Kuwaiti New Agency.   “The duty of the United Kingdom is to investigate in the death of six civilians killed in 2003 during incidents happened with the participation of British forces when they have the security responsibility in south east Iraq“, the statement added.   RM (TP)/SR 632
