Al-Jaafary confirms necessity to implement agreements with Iran

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Acting Chairman of Iraq’s National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary, has reiterated the necessity to implement the agreements and Memos of Understanding (MoUs), signed between Iraq and Iran during the recent visit for Baghdad of Iran’s 1st Vice-President, Mohammed Reza Rahimi.   “Jaafary has received at his office in Baghdad on Sunday Iran’s Ambassador to Baghdad, Hassan Dana’e Fir, confirming during the meeting necessity to implement the agreements and MoUs concluded between Iraq and Iran during Rahimi’s visit for Iraq,” a statement by Jaafary’s office reported.   The statement clarified that these agreements would encompass “means for further development of bilateral relations between the two countries and means for their development in different fields.”   Iran’s 1st Vice-President Rahimi had visited Iraq last Wednesday, leading a high-level delegation that comprised ministers and businessmen, where a number of agreements and MoUs were signed between the two countries for joint cooperation in different health, culture, telecommunications and technology.
