KDP to continue in trying to convince opposition – Spokesman

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP) will continue its endeavors to turn the opposition from its decision to suspend negotiations with the two main Kurdish parties in Kurdistan, the democratic party spokesman announced. Spokesman Jaffar Ibraheem, in a press statement to Al-Hayyat paper, expressed his “sorrow for the new stand of the opposition.” “We expected another stance during the fifth round of negotiations, but, nevertheless, we will continue our efforts to convince them of the opposite,” he added. Kurdish opposition (Change Movement, Islamic Federation and Islamic Group) announced in the middle of the last week the suspension of its negotiations with the two governing parties (National and Democratic Parties) for what they called a “time delay, without reaching any real results that will satisfy the public opinion, though the five-party talks started one month ago.” RM (TS)/SR 480
