Iraqi-British investment conference due in Basra

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The chairman of Basra‘s Investment Commission declared today that it is preparing to  hold an Iraqi-British Investment conference in cooperation with the British consulate in Basra. Haidar Ali Fadhi told IraqiNews.com that a British delegation from U.K. Trade and Investment Department will visit the province soon. He added that the British Consulate promised it will help developing the province and its infrastructure by assisting the participation of the British companies  and exchange of expertise and technology. Fadhil pointed out that Basra needs the entry of international companies in order to activate economic environment through the available investment opportunities.   RM (TP)/SR 635
