Iraq calls on Iran to share in modernizing its electric power stations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Minister of Electricity, Shallal al-Ani, now on a visit for Tehran, has called on Iran Tuesday to “share on modernizing Iraq’s electric power stations,” according to the semi-official Iranian Mehr News Agency.   The Agency quoted the Iraqi Electricity Minister as saying that “the Iranian Islamic Republic possesses broad potentials and advanced technological expertise, hence Iraq welcomes cooperation with the Iranian MINA Turbines Munfacturing Company, to modernize the electric power and the power industry in Iraq .”   SKH (PT) 499
