Fire erupts in Northern Iraq’s Oil Company in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A fire broke out in a gas-isolation station in the state-owned Northern Iraq’s Oil Company in Kirkuk on Friday, causing no damage, a Company source reported on Saturday.   “A fire broke out in one of the gas-isolation stations in Northern Iraq’s Oil Company in Kirkuk on Friday afternoon, causing no human or material losses,” the Company’s source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that “high temperature and the existence of dry plants and oil remnants have caused the fire in a gas-isolation station in the Company, that was put off quickly, without causing any material or human damage.”   The oil-rich city of Kirkuk is 280 km to the northeast of Baghdad .   SKH (ST)
