National reconciliation includes armed groups, minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: National reconciliation(NR) project in Iraq will include the armed groups that fought foreign forces , pointing out that they had different views on those of the government, Minister of NR said today.   Minister Khudhair Amer al-Khuza’i said, during a reconciliation conference in Anbar province, that the reconciliation process will not exclude any one of the Iraqi people.   “The reconciliation project is to include all armed groups that fought against foreign presence in Iraq “, he   confirmed.   He pointed out that the armed groups believed in armed struggle, while the government adopted political one, pointing out that “there are agendas wanting to divide Iraq “.   The reconciliation conference started in Anbar province today with the participation of some armed groups and the tribal sheikhs of the province, that lies 110 km west of the capital, Baghdad .   This desert   province was the haven of Qaeda organization after 2003 events, till the tribes turned against it and formed what is called the pro-government Al-Sahwa (Awakening) forces , which were able, to a certain extent, to regain security there.   RM(TI) 350
