Iraq’s PM calls for boosting efforts to fight outlaws – terrorists

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq ’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has called on the security forces     to boost their efforts in fighting “terrorists and outlaws,” according to a statement, issued by his office on Saturday.   “Iraq is still in need for your (security bodies) attention and activity,” Maliki told a group of Army and Police Commands in an Iftar (Ramadan Breakfast) he attended for those Command on Saturday evening.   Maliki said he was pleased to “meet the good selection of Security Bodies Commanders, who shared in safeguarding Iraq ’s National Unity and confronting sectarianism, that had threatened to destroy Iraq .”   “It is a great pride to see that Iraq had been among the states that succeeded to build up their forces in an exceptional short period,” Maliki said, demanding the security forces to “exert further efforts to complete the march to fight terrorism and outlaws.”   He said that “the progress that took place in the potentials of the Iraqi security forces, through their detention of large numbers of criminals and dismantling terrorist networks, gives hope for strengthening the security and stability in the whole country.”   In conclusion, the Iraqi Prime Minister called on “the politicians and security men to speak in one language and one tongue, in the aim of protecting the security and stability in Iraq .”   SKH (IT)   568
